Western Power, Exposed Woman
Exposed women
By Khateeb Ahmed
Do you have a TV in your house? Of course it will be, then you will have to watch movies or dramas. Often a phrase has been heard that "I will expose the culprit". Now the way the culprit is exposed and convicted, it cannot be done in the niqab because the culprit could not be identified in the niqab. In the same way, the West has shown its strength by exposing women by banning the niqab in recent years.
So if you look at France and Belgium, there is a complete ban on women covering their faces in public. French President Nicolas Sarkozy, whose government imposed the ban, said in support of the ban that "the niqab is a sign of oppression" which is why the ban was imposed. About 2,000 of France's 70 million people wear the niqab.
If we talk about Belgium, since 2011 there is a ban on wearing any clothes that do not identify. The Belgian court upheld the ban, saying it did not violate basic human rights, and the European Court of Human Rights upheld it. It is estimated that out of a population of 10 million, except Belgium, there are about 200 women who cover their faces.
Surprisingly, in 2017, Austria also banned anyone from wearing the niqab in all courts and schools in the country, citing the fact that covering one's face in public places hinders free speech. Then the Netherlands imposed a ban. One by one, the whole of Europe banned it.
The West makes strong arguments in its use of force. They have established a free society after a long struggle, the veil of Muslim women is conflicting with their society. Because they have established a society of equality, while in Muslim countries there is no integrated system of education, science and social security, Muslims have a prosperous life built there. Now Muslim women want facilities there, but also refuse to obey their social laws. Every citizen must follow the law if they wants to get facilities.
One thing is clear in his argument that when a person hides his face, it does not identify him and security problems arise. Supposedly, a terrorist wearing a niqab or burqa can reach a sensitive place and damage the country's property. Can you imagine, if a person enters a place where he can see others, but no one can see him? In the same way, anyone can test someone, give false testimony in court, forge documents. We cannot accuse anyone of this crime.
So now we have to look at ourselves. The laws of the West that we try, but think a hundred times before applying them to ourselves. We want open freedom in the West, we can do whatever we want according to our religion. But Muslim countries do not want to give this freedom to non-Muslims in their country. While the prosperous turn to the West for a better life, then they will enforce their own laws. But alas, the West has exposed its power because this is always the case with weak nations.
